    • Surveillance: Video footage from CCTV systems installed for security purposes.
    • Automation: Device usage logs and Wi-Fi network credentials (shared during setup).
  • Training & Employment: Academic history, attendance records, and bank details for internship stipends or fees.
  • Website Usage: IP addresses and cookies to improve your browsing experience.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We process your information based on Contractual Necessity or Legal Obligation:

  • To Deliver Services: Managing your solar installation, electrical wiring, or satellite internet setup.
  • To Monitor Systems: Accessing your inverter or CCTV app (only with your permission) for remote troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • For Training Programs: Managing registration, tracking progress, and issuing certifications for apprentices and interns.
  • For Security: CCTV footage is used solely for the protection of life and property.
  • Marketing: Sending you maintenance reminders or new product offers (only if you have opted in).

3. DATA SHARING & DISCLOSURE

Tamsolec Ltd never sells your data. We only share information with:

  • Service Providers: Authorized sub-processors like Starlink (for internet service) or payment processors (Momo/Orange Money/Banks).
  • Government Authorities: When required by Cameroonian law for tax reporting or by ANTIC for data compliance.
  • Joint Liability: We ensure all sub-processors are legally bound by a contract to protect your data as strictly as we do.

4. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY

  • Storage: We implement strong technical measures, including encryption and secure local servers, to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Retention: * Client Records: Kept for the duration of your warranty plus 10 years for tax and legal compliance.
    • Academic Records: Retained for 7 years post-completion as required for vocational training standards.
    • CCTV Footage: Typically auto-deleted after 30 days unless required for a specific investigation.

5. YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS (JUNE 2026 COMPLIANCE)

Under the new Cameroonian Act, you have the right to:

  • Access & Portability: Request a copy of all data we hold about you in a machine-readable format.
  • Rectification: Request immediate correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure (The Right to be Forgotten): Request the deletion of your data once our contractual obligations are finished.
  • Post-Mortem Rights: Appoint a representative to manage or delete your data in the event of your passing.

6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

For services like Starlink or smart home cloud apps, your data may be stored on international servers. Tamsolec Ltd ensures these transfers meet stringent security conditions and that the recipient countries provide an adequate level of protection.
