At Tamsolec Ltd, we are committed to providing high-quality electrical and solar solutions. Because our work involves custom engineering and high-value equipment procurement, the following policy applies to all transactions.
1. SERVICES (Solar, Wiring, CCTV, Smart Home, AC)
Our service refund policy is designed to cover the administrative and logistical costs incurred once a project is green-lit.
- Cancellations Before Work Begins: * If you cancel your service after payment but before equipment has been ordered or transported, you are eligible for a refund of the total amount minus a 15% administrative and consultation fee.
- Cancellations After Equipment Procurement: * Once Tamsolec Ltd has purchased specific solar panels, inverters, batteries, or specialized electrical materials for your project, the cost of these materials is non-refundable.
- You may choose to take possession of the materials or have us hold them for a future installation date. Only the unspent labour portion of the bill will be eligible for a refund.
- Dissatisfaction with Service: * If a service (e.g., wiring or Solar setup) is completed but does not meet the “Scope of Work” defined in your contract, Tamsolec Ltd will provide free corrective labor until the standard is met. We do not offer cash refunds for completed labor that was performed according to the initial agreement.
2. PRODUCT PURCHASES (Equipment & Materials)
For customers purchasing items (batteries, tools, inverters) without an installation contract:
- Defective Products (Dead on Arrival): * If a product is found to be defective within 48 hours of delivery/pickup, we will provide an immediate exchange for a new unit. If no replacement is available, a full refund will be issued.
- Change of Mind / Unopened Items: * Returns for non-defective items are accepted within 7 days of purchase, provided the item is in its original, unopened packaging with all seals intact.
- A 10% restocking fee applies to these returns.
- Installed or Used Items: * We cannot accept returns for products that have already been installed, mounted, or used (e.g., an inverter that has been wired to a house). These items fall under the Manufacturer’s Warranty for repair or replacement rather than a refund.
3. RENTAL EQUIPMENT
- Early Return: If you rent a tool (e.g., a Hilti drill or industrial ladder) for 5 days but return it in 2, we do not provide a refund for the remaining days unless previously agreed in writing.
- Non-Functional Tools: If a rented tool fails during normal operation within the first 2 hours of use, return it immediately for a replacement or a full refund of the rental fee.
4. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS & COSTS
The following are strictly non-refundable:
- Transportation/Delivery Fees: Once a team or equipment has been dispatched to your location, the transport fee is considered spent.
- Custom-Cut Materials: Cables, wires, or conduits that have been cut to specific lengths for your building.
- Special Orders: Items ordered specifically for you that are not part of our standard stock.
- Starlink/Satellite Subscriptions: Any third-party fees paid to ISPs or satellite providers.
5. REFUND PROCESS
- Timeline: Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 14 business days.
- Method: For security and accounting, refunds are typically issued via Bank Transfer or Mobile Money to the original account used for payment. Cash refunds are only available for small amounts (under 50,000 CFA) at our Head Office.
6. TRAINING, INTERNSHIPS & APPRENTICESHIPS
Tamsolec Ltd is committed to developing local talent. Because our programs have limited spots and involve significant preparation, the following refund rules apply:
- Application & Registration Fees: All application and registration fees are strictly non-refundable. These fees cover the administrative cost of processing your file and reserving your spot in the program.
- Withdrawal Before Program Start:
- If you provide written notice of withdrawal at least 5 days before the start date, you are eligible for a 75% refund of the tuition/apprenticeship fee.
- Withdrawals made less than 5 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Withdrawal After Program Commencement:
- Once the training or apprenticeship has started, refunds are only considered within the first 5 business days (or first week) of the program. In this case, a 30% refund of the remaining balance may be issued.
- No refunds will be issued after the first week of the program, regardless of attendance.
- Dismissal for Misconduct: Tamsolec Ltd reserves the right to terminate an internship or apprenticeship for gross misconduct, theft, or safety violations. In the event of dismissal for cause, no refund will be provided.
- Certification Costs: Any fees paid specifically for external examinations, international certifications, or government trade tests are non-refundable once they have been remitted to the respective governing body.
- Program Cancellation by Tamsolec: If Tamsolec Ltd cancels a scheduled training program due to unforeseen circumstances, students will be offered a choice between a full refund (100%) or a credit toward the next available session.
