Terms of service

Version 1.0 | Effective Date: January 2026

These Terms of Service govern the relationship between Tamsolec Ltd (the “Company”) and the Client (the “Customer”) for all services and equipment provided. By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. GENERAL PAYMENT & CONTRACT TERMS

  • Upfront Payment: To ensure logistical efficiency and the timely procurement of high-quality components, 100% of the total bill (Equipment + Labour) must be paid upfront.
  • Accepted Payment Methods: Payments are accepted via Cash, Mobile Money (Momo/Orange Money), or Bank Transfer. No work or equipment supply will commence until funds are cleared.
  • Service Contract: Immediately upon receipt of payment, Tamsolec Ltd will issue a formal Service Contract. This document specifies the detailed scope of work, technical specifications, and total consideration costs.

2. SOLAR ENERGY INSTALLATIONS

  • Pricing Structure: Website prices are “Base Rates” assuming:
    1. Installation on a standard low-level roof (one-story).
    2. Location within a 5-mile radius of our Head Office.
  • Transportation Costs: The standard bill includes materials and installation but excludes equipment transport.
    • Distance Surcharge: For locations beyond 5 miles, an extra fee will be charged for equipment haulage and team transport.
    • Accessibility Surcharge: Extra charges apply for mounting on tall buildings (high-rise) or locations with difficult access.
    • Ground Mounting: Ground-based arrays require specialized structural frames and civil works (concrete footings); these are not included in roof-mount pricing and will incur an additional cost.

3. ELECTRICAL WIRING SERVICES

  • Material Sourcing: To maintain safety standards, Tamsolec Ltd reserves the right to supply all materials. If a Customer wishes to provide their own, materials must be purchased in the presence of a Tamsolec specialist to verify quality.
  • Guarantees:
    • Tamsolec Supplied: We provide a comprehensive quality guarantee and warranty period on all materials we supply.
    • Third-Party Supplied: We provide no guarantee or liability for failures, fires, or defects resulting from materials purchased by the Customer from third-party vendors.
  • Labour Payment: Labour costs must be paid in full before work begins or immediately upon completion, unless a separate written payment plan has been signed by both parties.

4. SMART HOME & CCTV SURVEILLANCE

  • Network Requirements: The Customer is responsible for providing a stable internet connection if remote mobile viewing is required.
  • Privacy Compliance: It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that camera placements comply with local privacy laws regarding neighbors and public spaces.

5. AIR CONDITIONING & HVAC

  • Site Preparation: Installations assume existing electrical capacity. If a dedicated circuit is needed and not present, it will be billed as an additional electrical service.
  • Maintenance: Warranty on units is only valid if the system is serviced by a Tamsolec technician at least once every 6 months.

6. STARLINK & SATELLITE INSTALLATIONS

  • Subscription Management: Tamsolec Ltd is an installer, not an ISP. We are not responsible for Starlink/Canal+/DSTV monthly subscription payments or service outages caused by the provider.
  • Obstruction Warning: We will advise on the best placement. If a Customer insists on a location with “obstructions” (trees/walls), we are not liable for degraded speeds or signal loss.

7. EQUIPMENT RENTAL (TOOLS & MACHINES)

  • Rental Period: Begins the moment the tool leaves our premises and ends upon return.
  • Condition: Tools must be returned in the same functional condition as received.
  • Damage/Loss: The Customer is 100% liable for repair costs or replacement value for any tool damaged by misuse, theft, or loss during the rental period.

8. WARRANTY & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  • Workmanship Warranty: We offer a standard 12-month warranty on our installation workmanship. This excludes “Acts of God” (lightning, floods, extreme storms) or tampering by unauthorized persons.
  • Manufacturer Warranties: For batteries, inverters, and panels, we pass on the manufacturer’s warranty. Tamsolec will assist in the claim process, but the final decision rests with the manufacturer.
  • Limitation: Tamsolec Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (e.g., loss of business profit during a power outage).

9. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

  • Equipment Orders: Once equipment has been purchased/ordered from our suppliers using the Customer’s payment, that portion of the payment is non-refundable.
  • Labour Refund: If a project is cancelled by the Customer before work starts, a 20% administrative fee will be deducted from the labour refund.
